The Week long Journey to Safety Excellence has arrived!

Please join SC OSHA, federal OSHA, businesses, and organizations nationwide to recognize the importance and successes of workplace safety and health programs during Safe + Sound Week.  The week-long event encourages employers to implement workplace safety initiatives, and highlight workers’ contributions to improving safety. Every workplace should have a safety and health program that includes management leadership, worker participation, and a systematic approach to finding and correcting hazards. Businesses that incorporate safety and health programs can help prevent injuries and illnesses, reduce workers’ compensation costs, and improve productivity.

Safe + Sound Week is a nationwide event held each August that recognizes the successes of workplace health and safety programs and offers information and ideas on how to keep America's workers safe.

Why Participate?

Successful safety and health programs can proactively identify and manage workplace hazards before they cause injury or illness, improving sustainability and the bottom line. Participating in Safe + Sound Week can help get your program started, energize an existing one, or provide a chance to recognize your safety successes.

Who Participates?

Organizations of any size or in any industry looking for an opportunity to show their commitment to safety to workers, customers, the public, or supply chain partners should participate. Last year, more than 2,700 businesses helped to raise awareness about workers’ health and safety! Learn more about how to help plan and promote safety and health plans.
